In early October of 2011, iWeb Technologies announced it was creating a new division called Funio to take ownership of its shared hosting platform. You can view the press release here. The ultimate goal was to have a team dedicated entirely to the maintenance and advancement of the company's shared hosting. Now in January 2012, Funio is completely independant from iWeb and works as a standalone entity.
